Our Metals

We use high-quality materials to ensure our jewelry is built to last. Our findings and chains are crafted in 14k gold-filled—a durable, long-wearing choice that maintains its rich color and luxurious look over time. It’s a premium option designed to stay beautiful for years to come.

Gold-filled is a U.S. industry standard requiring a solid gold layer comprising 5% of the item’s total weight by law. It’s created by bonding a thick layer of gold to a base metal—usually brass—through a heat and pressure process.
It contains 100 times more gold than gold-plated items, making it the most affordable and durable alternative to solid gold.

With proper care, gold-filled jewelry can last 10–30 years before the gold layer shows signs of wear.

Due to the nature of the manufacturing process, gold-filled materials are only available in wire or sheet form and cannot be cast or poured into molds. This means gold-filled charms are either flat (stamped from sheet metal) or hollow (formed by joining two stamped pieces). In cases where a charm or ring design cannot be achieved in gold-filled, we use high-quality gold plating or alternative materials—and clearly note this in the product description.

Care Guide

Avoid contact with non-pH-neutral substances such as perfume, lotion, sunscreen, and hairspray.
Do not wear your jewelry in seawater or chlorinated water. Keep it dry and store it in a low-humidity environment.
Remove jewelry before swimming, exercising, bathing, or sleeping.
Put on pearl jewelry only after completing your skincare and makeup routine.
A good practice: jewelry should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.
Gold-filled jewelry does not tarnish, but it may oxidize over time. Regular wear and cleaning can help prevent oxidation buildup. If your jewelry loses its shine after storage, gently wipe it with a jewelry polishing cloth to restore its luster. You may also clean gold-filled pieces with lukewarm water and mild soap to remove oils and dirt.
For gold-plated or gold-finished jewelry, gently wipe it with a soft cloth and avoid contact with water.

Protection Tips

Avoid wearing jewelry during activities that may expose it to high temperatures, scratches, impact, or harsh chemicals.
After each wear, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth to remove skin oils and makeup.
Slight oxidation of gold-filled jewelry over time is a natural occurrence.
Oxidation is not considered a flaw or defect. To clean gold-filled components, use a jewelry polishing cloth.

Storage

When not in use, store jewelry in the included protective pouch or a jewelry box to prevent tangling, scratches, and oxidation.
